BeatCutter is an innovative multi-channel tool designed for slicing and rearranging sound based on rhythm. The software boasts an extensive array of tools for transforming source audio with virtually limitless possibilities, regardless of the original sound's nature—be it tracks, external musical instruments, or audio from alternative applications. It's important to note that BeatCutter doesn't come with pre-defined presets for specific results. Instead, it offers a wide range of adjustable parameters that require experimentation based on the source material. While users can access a convenient template editor for quick starts and idea generation, comprising a set of numerical values governing various parameters that can be adjusted to alter outcomes.

One of BeatCutter's most intriguing features is its feedback mode—a unique experimental function that operates akin to fractals by continuously evolving structures without reliance on external samples or signals. This capability enables the creation of distinct sound abstractions, fostering boundless potential for experimentation and creative inspiration.

BeatCutter supports up to four external input and output channels, enabling the simultaneous playback of up to eight files and functioning as a multi-channel audio unit. Compatible with various DAWs and hosts, the application can serve as an effect plugin and integrates seamlessly with MIDI controllers featuring eight faders and eight knobs for convenience.

Available on iOS and macOS devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, MacBook with M1 chip or later models, BeatCutter offers standalone functionality on iPhones and iPads as well as Audio Unit or Inter-App Audio integration. Additionally, it supports Audiobus and Ableton Link. On macOS systems, BeatCutter functions as both a standalone application and an Audio Unit within compatible DAWs and hosts such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, GarageBand, MainStage, Cockos Reaper, Plogue Bidule, Hosting AU, and other AUv3 plugin-supported environments.

All features present in the iOS and macOS versions of BeatCutter are available universally, encompassing MIDI support (including a MIDI learn option), audio unit parameters adjustment, as well as sample importing from any device directory. The application includes an exhaustive description of all parameters within its interface and provides a PDF version located on the app's website for reference.
